Serving the whole client, not just his/her medical needs is the mission at Grane At Home. From individualized nursing programs to dedicated homemakers, aides, personal care providers, transportation assistants and more, Grane At Home delivers a host of hands-on services to clients’ to maintain their independence at home.

Responsibilities

While, often, no two days are the same, daily responsibilities will center on the needs of members and may include:  

  • Assisting with personal care
  • Talking, listening and sharing experiences with members
  • Playing games and cards
  • Reading to and with members, as requested
  • Helping keep/build connections with friends, family and other loved ones through written correspondence, phone calls and scheduled activities
  • Identifying activities and social events, and helping coordinate member involvement/attendance
  • Assisting with visits, trips and outings, as requested
  • Helping members prepare/plan meals, including shopping and cleanup
  • Carrying out light housekeeping, as needed
  • Aiding in basic pet care, if applicable
  • Documenting daily activities as well as any changes in members’ physical, mental or emotional state, and reporting findings to a supervisor
  • Additional responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications

This is an important role that is critical to the ongoing well-being of our clients. As such, applicants should display strong compassion, enthusiasm and an ability to engage with a variety of personalities. Candidates should have good time management skills, excellent judgment, and an ability to troubleshoot should challenges arise. Additionally, candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation.
